Trisha Frederick appointed by Fort Bend County Commissioners Court to the Gulf Coast Water Authority board.
Commissioner Meyers is pleased to have voted in support of Trisha Frederick as the new Fort Bend County appointee to the Gulf Coast Water Authority - GCWA, at the August 6, 2019 commissioner's court meeting.
Trisha is a good friend of our staff at Precinct 3 and has been an active member of the community in the water and transportation infrastructure of our area. She is a P.E. with Costello, Inc., and also serves as President of the Texas Association of Water Board Directors as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce.
Through her work with GCWA, Ms. Frederick will help oversee a water authority that was created by the Texas Legislature in 1965, but whose roots go back as far as the 1930's in Fort Bend County. GCWA is in the business of providing and selling water to industry, agriculture, and municipalities in Brazoria, Fort Bend, and Galveston counties and maintains approximately 400 miles of canals and laterals delivering water from the Brazos River throughout Southeast Texas.
Commissioner Meyers look forward to working with Ms. Frederick on this and other projects as we move ahead in the next few years.
