Precinct 3’s Motorist Assistance Program helps stranded drivers get back on the road.
Perhaps you or a loved one has had a flat tire or empty gas tank on an early morning when you're running to and from school. We've all been there at one point or another and this can be an embarrassing, sometimes dangerous, situation when traffic is heavy during peak rush hour times.
In August 2018, Commissioner Meyers partnered with Fort Bend County Constable's Office, Precinct 3 to launch a Motorist Assistance Program (MAP) to help motorists who are facing minor roadside emergencies like flat tires or a dead battery.
This is the only program of its kind in Fort Bend County, and Constable Wayne Thompson is one of only two constables offices in the entire State of Texas to offer this service to the community! Sales taxes from our County Assistance Districts, cover the salary for the full-time deputy in the MAP vehicle, and we have additional volunteer deputies who cover additional shifts.
These dedicated men and women have covered thousands of miles over the last year to help get emergency repairs and assistance to stranded motorists on our roadways. To utilize this service, contact 281-238-1430.
