Wednesday AM (8/30) Barker Reservoir Update

There is some improved news to point out this morning about the Barker Reservoir.

Officials today stated that they expect the peak of the water height to be lower than yesterday's estimates. We have already seen so many people whose property has been affected by the reservoir and we continue to work with local first responders to help displaced residents find shelter and supplies.

This is not to say that we are out of the woods from danger. Please do not travel in the affected areas today near the reservoir in Katy. Please do not attempt to come into these neighborhoods if you are outside of the affected areas. The water is still high and dangerous in many parts. But any news that further damage could be spared is something we love to hear.
